What is a “hospitalist”?
A hospitalist is a doctor who specializes in the care of hospitalized patients. While you are under the care of a hospitalist, he or she will make sure that necessary tests and treatments are done promptly and efficiently. The hospitalist will also coordinate with other specialists during your hospital stay to make sure you get the expert care you need. After you are discharged from the hospital, the hospitalist will send a report regarding your hospital stay to our office so we can make sure you get appropriate follow-up care.
